Automechanika Astana 2026: Against the backdrop of Kazakhstan’s booming automotive market

New car sales in Kazakhstan have grown by almost one-third

According to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union (ҚАО), 85,467 vehicles were sold in the country during the first five months of 2025 — an increase of 28.7% compared to the same period last year. In May alone, over 19,000 units were sold, which is 51.4% more than in May 2024.

ҚАО President Anar Makasheva noted:

“The positive momentum continues thanks to the joint efforts of dealers and banks, as well as large-scale marketing campaigns. These factors are making vehicles more accessible and increasing consumer interest. If this pace continues, the market could reach a new historic high by the end of 2025.”
