10 940 cars were sold in Kazakhstan in September

New car sales in September 2020, including exports, increased by 65% compared to September last year.
The country's automotive market continues to maintain the pace set in August, Kazakh dealers have sold 9,804 cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 1,136 units of trucks, special vehicles and buses, of which 798 units of cars were exported to Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The activity is largely driven by deferred demand and stock replenishment from new car dealerships. At the end of nine months of 2020, the domestic market grew by 21% compared to last year to 63,408 cars sold.

“For the second month in a row, sales exceed 9,000 units, but the car market is still not saturated. Taking into account the remaining three months, AKAB's forecast is positive, the country's automotive market in 2020 will exceed 90 thousand units, of which more than 60 thousand units of passenger and commercial vehicles of domestic production,” comments Anar MAKASHEVA, vice-president of AKAB.

Chevrolet (710%) and Ravon (268%) continue to show the largest gains compared to last year. And if the latter is gradually leaving the stage, then Chevrolet has confidently made its way into the top three in September in the brands standings and is in the leading positions in the ranking among models.

In the TOP-on September 3, Chevrolet is on the third line with 1,538 sold cars, including export, of which Kazakhstanis purchased 1,353 cars (+ 6% by August 2020). Lada with a result of 2,137 units. (+ 30%) in second place. Hyundai in the first place - 2,216 units. of which 1,782 vehicles were registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan (+ 5%).

Toyota is on the fourth line - 1,128 units. Total sales of them in Kazakhstan were sold 1,087 vehicles (-7%). In fifth position, Ravon - 625 units of which 619 cars were purchased by Kazakhstanis. The sixth place belongs to JAC, dealers sold 323 vehicles and 122 units have been exported. Seventh line for Kia - 407 units. TOP-10 of the best-selling in September are closed by Volkswagen (342 units), Nissan (282 units) and Renault (251 units).

Lada Granta (1,100 units) and Chevrolet Cobalt (998 units, of which Kazakhstanis purchased 880 units) are in the lead in terms of passenger models in September. The third is Hyundai Tucson - 615 units (470 units are registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan). The fourth place belongs to Ravon R3Nexia - 613 sedans, of which 607 units in Kazakhstan. The fifth place among the bestsellers of the past years is Toyota Camry (580 units, of which 567 units are issued in the Republic of Kazakhstan). Further on the list: Hyundai Accent (462 units in total, of which 425 units were bought by Kazakhstanis), Lada 4 × 4 (428 units), Lada Vesta (407 units), Hyundai Creta (353 units, including export - 317 units remained in Kazakhstan). Hyundai Santa Fe closes the top ten (343 units, including export deliveries of which 272 units were purchased by Kazakhstanis). Nine models out of ten were produced in Kazakhstan.
