This year, Automechanika Astana has greeted more than 240 participants from 14 countries (Kazakhstan, China, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Japan, Turkey, etc.) presented auto parts, equipment, cars and commercial transport.
During all the days of the exhibitions there were constant negotiations at the stands: 10,470 specialists and car enthusiasts visited the shows that is a highest number in the events’ history.
“We have taken part in the exhibition for the 5th time. And this year, as far as I remember, is the best: a lot of people, incredible traffic. For us, Automechanika Astana is an important platform for meetings with partners and customers. We see high efficiency of showing the strength of the brand. The exposition area accounted for 8,000 square meters. Key players of the domestic and foreign markets were located here. The stands of the leading tire manufacturers AIKOS, Roadboss, Dongying Fangxing Rubber drew a lot of visitors attention.
More than 1,000 brands were represented at the exhibition. For example, spare parts and auto components of such well-known brands as Bosch, VARTA, Donaldson and dozens of others were gathered at the stand of CBC-Trans. Constant exhibitor of the show TruckMotors also engage visitors’ interest with a variety of products: specialists could agree on the supply of Emotor auto parts, Fersa and GLYCO bearings, Ferodo brake pads and much more.
In addition to spare parts, high-quality engine oils by MEIJI SANGYO COMPANY, oilbt.kz (Oscar Lubricants), PANTUS were presented at the exhibition.
In addition, big Chinese pavilion consisting of 120 companies was organized this year. Since the Chinese automotive market is the largest in the world and has maintained an overall positive trend over the past decade, this pavilion has also seen a steady flow of visitors. Tires from Dongying Fangxing Rubber and BESTANG, transmission components from YKE AUTOMOTIVE, belt tensioners from China's largest OEM supplier Ruideli, car suspensions from Zhejiang Yazhixing and much more were presented here.
Exposition of Komtrans Astana | Futuroad Expo Astana always surprises with its scale. The latest commercial vehicles of Kazakhstan production were presented at the stand of Allur (JAC Trucks), namely JAC N200-based fire tank truck, a Sunray minibus, N35 light truck and N56 hydraulic lift truck. Also, the visitors could observe the newest commercial vehicles and special equipment by the largest market players Hyundai Com Trans and Fire Safety Center.
“The exhibition is going well; a lot of people are interested. We see good feedback from visitors and the fruitful impact of the exhibition on the entire automotive industry of Kazakhstan,” commented a representative of JAC Trucks Akezhan Zhagypar.
Program of events
The official opening ceremony was held in the morning and gathered important guests and representatives of the automotive industry of Kazakhstan. The ceremony was attended by guests of honor, such as Deputy Mayor of Astana E. Bekmurzaev, Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Erkinbaev, Vice President of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH M. Johannes, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" M. Amrin, Head of the Automotive, Special Equipment and Agricultural Engineering Department of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan R. Khisamutdinov, General Manager of the Union of Transport and Logistics Organizations and Associations KAZLOGISTICS E. Absatov, Chairman of the Board of JSC National Company QazExpoCongress D. Erkimbaev, Director of the exhibition company Business Media Central Asia A. Matveev.
In his speech, Deputy Mayor of Astana E. Bekmurzaev noted that the exhibitions are of great importance for the city, as they bring together professionals and entrepreneurs from different countries to discuss the latest innovations and solutions in the automotive and transport industry.
Michael Johannes expressed his confidence that the exhibition will become a platform for creating new partnerships and cooperation between companies and industry representatives.
The program of events also included expert sessions. Artur Miskaryan (Agency for Monitoring and Analysis of the Automotive Market (AMAAR)) spoke about the results of 2022 in the Kazakhstani car market, and also presented an overview of the supply of Chinese brands in the passenger car market in Kazakhstan. Experts of the Union of Automobile Industry Enterprises of Kazakhstan "KazAvtoProm" shared the prospects for the development of electric transport in Kazakhstan.
There were also workshops from the exhibitors, where the audience learned about usage of VARTA batteries, the installation of FEBEST shock absorbers, the automation of a spare parts store or service station with online technologies and other topics.
In addition to the business program, the visitors also got unique impressions from the tuned cars section, organized jointly with the large car community of Kazakhstan LowKZ. At the end of the third day of the exhibition, the most creative cars were awarded based on popular vote.
