Entry to the territory of Kazakhstan

The restrictions of entry to the territory of Kazakhstan for the citizens of foreign countries. 

The foreign citizens are allowed to entry the territory of Kazakhstan if they meet one of the following criteria:

• are citizens of a country Kazakhstan has resumed direct flights with (Russian Federation, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Belarus, Netherlands, Germany, UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Georgia, Maldives),

• correspond to one of the exceptional cases listed in the Procedure for crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan,

• have an entry permission granted by the Interdepartmental Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan (exceptional case or entry permission must be supported by necessary documents).

If you are a foreign citizen having a residence permit on the territory of Kazakhstan or a family member who is a citizen of Kazakhstan or has such residence permit, you can 

1) enter Kazakhstan from abroad and leave whenever you need to (or how visa/immigration rule permits), but your next re-entry to Kazakhstan must take place not earlier than 30 days after your last departure from Kazakhstan,

2) if you are already in Kazakhstan, you can leave any time (or how visa/immigration rule permits), but your next re-entry to Kazakhstan must take place not earlier than 30 days after your departure from Kazakhstan.

Exceptions:

- Citizens who have a special permit to enter from the Interdepartmental Commission;

- Citizens of the 13 countries which Kazakhstan has resumed direct flights with (Russian Federation, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Belarus, Netherlands, Germany, UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Georgia, Maldives),

The restrictions of entry to the territory of Kazakhstan for the citizens of Kazakhstan

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan can cross the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a frequency of no more than 1 time in 30 days. This rule does not apply to the countries that the Government of Kazakhstan has resumed regular direct flights with. (Russian Federation, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Belarus, Netherlands, Germany, UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Georgia, Maldives). 

Visa Regime 

The visa-free regime established for the citizens of 57 countries:

These countries are Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Vatican, United Kingdom, Hungary, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Israel, Indonesia, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Cyprus, Colombia, Korea, Kuwait , Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, UAE, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA, Thailand, Turkey, Philippines , Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia, Japan.

Until December 31, 2021, citizens of these countries need a visa to enter the territory of Kazakhstan. The validity and category of the visa depends on the purpose of the visit and the duration of stay in the country.

A visa is not required for citizens of the countries, which Kazakhstan has established separate bilateral agreements on mutual visa-free regime with. The visa-free regime is still valid for citizens of Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Korea, UAE, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Serbia and Hong Kong.

Algorithm of inviting foreign specialists to Kazakhstan by legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Before applying for visa support, you must receive an entry permit from the Interdepartmental Commission.

Personal data of foreign citizens that must be specified when submitting an application to the Interdepartmental Commission: name and surname, citizenship, date of birth, passport number, passport issue date, passport validity, approximate date and place of entry to Kazakhstan. After considering the application, the Commission makes a decision to issue or refuse to issue an entry permit.
This information is needed to be given to the exhibition manager no more than 30 business days before the approximate date of entry to Kazakhstan.
